Diagnostic Care

Diagnostics are absolutely essential to find out what is going on inside.

Pain Management

We aim to decrease or eliminate any and all pain in your pet. Pain not only alters physical functioning, it may also be detrimental to your pet’s mental wellbeing. We actively manage pain before, during, and after any procedure to keep your pet as pain-free as possible.

Pet owners are often blind to the pain and discomfort their pet is experiencing simply because their pet cannot verbalize what is hurting. We are dedicated to educating pet owners on signs of pain to encourage preventative care.

In-House Laboratory

With the help of our in-house lab, your pet will be able to receive high-quality care much faster and with more accuracy. Without having to send samples to an outside lab, you no longer have to wait 24-48 hours for results! This allows us to create the best treatment plan sooner which will have your pet feeling better in no time. For less common and non-urgent tests, samples may be sent to an outside lab.

Often, conditions are internal and pets are better than you may think at hiding discomfort! We are able to benefit your pet by performing diagnostic work that can be assessed at our in-house laboratory from fecal exams, urinalysis, skin scrapings, and blood work such as complete blood counts and blood chemistry profiles.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound technology allows our veterinarians to visually examine internal bodily systems, which is helpful when identifying pain and areas of concern your pet cannot verbalize. Illness and injury are assessed by checking areas such as the heart, bladder, and abdominal organs.

Radiology (X-Ray)

Radiology, commonly known as X-Rays, allows our veterinarians to instantly view and examine diagnostic information from a single image. Our radiology services are completely safe, painless, and non-invasive! We utilize radiology to diagnosis heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, intestinal blockages, bladder stones, broken bones, spinal cord diseases, chronic arthritis, cancer, and a wide-range of other conditions. These detailed images can quickly and easily be shared with you to begin discussing the best treatment options for your pet.

Electrocardiography (EKG)

EKG is a technological tool that monitors heart rhythms and electrical impulses to address your pet’s heart health and functioning. This tool is fast, non-invasive, and does not require anesthetics. Your pet will gently be placed on their side while electrodes are placed on specific areas of the body. Within minutes, results will be produced and reviewed with you.

Often times, EKG technology is used in conjunction with digital radiology and ultrasound to provide the most accurate results. If you notice symptoms such as coughing, labored breathing, lethargy, and weakness, there may be an underlying heart condition that requires medical attention.

Dermatology

Our staff is trained to treat a variety of disorders that effect the skin, ears, hair, and nails. We are experienced in the treatment of allergies and immunology to address concerns such as allergic induced skin conditions, skin cancer, parasitic infections, chronic ear infections, autoimmune diseases, endocrine disease, and peri-anal furunculosis.
